MEN'S FALL FASHION 2012 GUIDE

Hello fellas! We seem to leave you guys out when posting but hopefully this post will bring you guys back (as if you ever stopped coming hehehe) Anyway, wherever you are in the world you must prepare for the chill Fall weather, whilst staying fly of course. I've rounded up some of the most important trends to keep in mind while getting ready to brave the chills. With the the help of GQ..here are some guides.

The driver hat/cap is a great alternative to the snapback and come in a variety of textures and prints. The blue/indigo shirt is the new "chambray" shirt that was popular last Fall, it's new now because it's office appropriate! The puffer vest is an important staple, it can be dressed down with a hoody or up layered with a knit sweater.

The three-piece suit needs to be in every mans closet, keep it tailored and your fabrics simple. Cable knit sweaters are a good way to keep warm without having to put on a hoody, I mean look at Kanye! Bomber jackets are classic, leather or nylon, your choice!

The loden green is the new "army green", as GQ describes it as a "grayish shade of green". This neutral shade goes with just about anything you already own. The rubber sole sneaker is the sneaker every man needs. Why, well.. it can be worn casually or with a suit. GQ states that the white soles give the shoes some visual heft that anchor any look. Lastly, The slim cut polka dot tie is a funky staple that must be worn against a simple solid dress shirt.

Hope this helps you fellas! Now, you have another reason to keep coming back :)

Best Leather Pieces Under $250

Leather is all the rage this Fall and it is definitely making some serious sexy statements!! I have to admit I love leather...it can be worn to make any outfit fit into the sexy, grunge, or sophisticated category. Our favorite celebrities like Kim K, Rihanna, Rita Ora, Beyonce and a host of others have been strutting around Hollywood in this Fall's favorite trend and it looks damn good!

Remember, faux leather is not all bad...just pair it with quality pieces and accessories to prevent it from looking cheap. Faux leather and real leather can be pretty pricey, but finding a good essential piece for your wardrobe allows you to mix and match and create fun outfits. Think some great leather pants or a funky leather jacket...you can dress them up or down and paid them with booties or pumps. It's all in how you use your creativity. I found some great pieces under $250 that are sure to make you look like $1million!

Be sexy!

Homecoming Fashion Guide

So it’s October, which means its HBCU homecoming season.  This is a time where students and alumni of Historically Black colleges and universities go back to their respective schools to reunite with friends, fellowship and have a good time. Here are a few tips on how to look chic, comfortable and cool while at homecoming.

Ladies:
Homecomings are typically in October so you’re never really sure of how the weather will be. My suggestion would be a nice tailored blazer. You can create a nice polished look and still make sure that you are warm enough.  And if the weather is warm, a blazer can be easily taken off. Try pairing it with skinny jeans and a nice colorful scarf.

When it comes to shoes during homecoming, comfort is key. Going to events like football games, day parties, and walking around the yard can be tiring. Try a nice pair of boots or booties. High heel or flat boots are acceptable.  Also wedges are very trendy this season. Try a bright colored wedge and let them be the focus of your ensemble.

Homecoming Look

Gents:
During the day, homecomings are pretty relaxed for guys. Jeans, chinos, cords or other casual pants are a great choice. Try wearing a casual button down shirt. Chambray and gingham plaid are two of my favorites on men. If it’s a little chilly, throw on a nice jacket or a cardigan.

Ok, now to the shoes. For most guys, this is the most important part. This is the time to bring out your sneakers so pretty much anything goes. Just make sure you look fly.  Boots are also acceptable.

Trend To Try: Metallic Jeans

Photobucket

As we all know, Fashion is ever changing and the trends just never go away! One of the newest trends is metallic jeans and leggings. Although they sound kinda futuristic and tricky to pull off, they actually have a pretty cool look. I like to think of them in the same regard to leather pants and leggings, only shiny. Since the pant is loud, let it be the statement piece and wear with a simple pump or bootie and a sweater or blazer.

Leather, Leather Everywhere!

Ciara wearing this Fall's sexy trend: $990 Rag & Bone Leather pants

Celebs everywhere have been spotted wearing this Fall's sexy trend: Leather pants. Although it's not super new to the fashion scene, leather is popular in all facets from skirts, to jackets, pants and leggings. I personally would opt for a tight fit, which shows off the figure and looks sleek, instead of baggy or loose fitting which can disguise your silhouette.

Real leather can be pretty pricey, so there's nothing wrong with going for faux...just make sure you pair it with other quality garments, such as a nice blazer or sweater, a killer shoe, or even a fabulous bag!
