2012 Summer Olympics
If you haven't heard, the 2012 Summer Olympics will kick off this evening! This is always an exciting time during the summer. This year's summer Olympics are being held in London, England, a fashion capital. So it's only right that our American athletes look their best at all times. Designers like Gorgio Armani, Ralph Lauren and Stella McCartney, just to name a few, have signed on to the olympic design team to help create different uniforms for the teams of the respective countries. Ralph Lauren is responsible for the controversial opening and closing ceremonies attire. Other than the fact that they were manufactured in China, MYLM wants to know what you think! Share your thoughts. What would you like to see the U.S. Olympic team wearing?

MYLM Style: Kristen Shows the Ladies how to rock Jay's
Hey Ladies! I'm here to show you that sneakers aren't just for the gym! There are plenty of ways to wear sneakers and still be feminine and sexy. I wouldn't call myself a sneakerhead or anything but, I love shoes and I love to create different looks for different occasions. I love my heels, but sometimes a girl has to switch it up every now then. So without further adieu, here are some pics of how I like to rock my sneakers. Today I'm wearing Air Jordan XII (12) Taxi.
This is a perfect look for a hip hop concert, for a chill day or if you're into matching, you could wear the same pair as your beau like Kim and Kanye. Enjoy!

Swimsuits for Your Body Type
Swimsuit shopping is probably, no DEFINITELY, my least favorite thing to do. It’s just so much. I can never find the right fit or I don’t like what’s available in stores so I resort to online shopping just to find ill fitting swimsuits that I just end up sending right back. I’m sure that most of you MYLM readers feel my pain. But no worries, MYLM has got you covered. Here are a few tips on finding the perfect swimsuit for your body type for this season.

Athletic
Finding a swimsuit that will create curves is essential for the athletic body type. Try finding a top the will add some volume. A bust-enhancing top like this one with ruffles will create the perfect amount of cleavage.
Pear shaped
If you are a little bigger on the bottom, separates are you friend. Try to find a printed top if you are purchasing a bikini and a solid bottom. This brings the attention to the top of your body. Also, if you are more of a one-piece kind of girl, look for something with more detail at the top.
Full Bust
If you are top heavy, I have one word for you under wire! This is essential in a swimsuit so that you have as much support as possible. An alternative to underwire bikini tops would be to look for top with thicker straps or a one piece with a plunging neckline, a nice v shape.
Curvy/Full figured
For all of my curvy girls look for a swimsuit that really shows off your shape. A Deep plunge or a high waist bikini, which is a swimsuit trend for this season, is very flattering on your shape.

Fashion Inspiration: Summer Wedding
June is here and we have recuperated from all of our Memorial Day activities, cookouts, festivals, pool parties, etc, to kick off the unofficial start to summer. There is only one other thing that comes to mind during this time of year and that is none other than Wedding Season.
This is an awesome time to celebrate love with your friends and family. The weather is usually perfect aside from the occasional rain shower.
I’m at the age now where it seems like every time I check the mail I’m receiving a “Save the Date” or a wedding invitation. I am 100 percent sure that I am not the only one receiving these invitations in the mail. I also know that finding what to wear to a wedding can be fun but it can also be challenging at times. So here are a few ideas of what to wear to any type of summer wedding.

Summer Style Inspiration: Music Festival Fashion
Summertime is drawing near and music festivals/concerts are taking the main stage for summer events. From April to September outdoor music performances are occurring across the nation. So it’s time to show off your summer style. Grab a pair of your favorite cut offs, comfortable sandals and your flyest fashion shades and prepare to enjoy a high energy, live music experience.
You can catch me in Philadelphia, PA this weekend for the 2012 Roots Picnic hosted by none other than the Roots Crew. I’ll be sure to keep my eyes open for some fierce, festival fashion. Check out these looks below for some fashion inspiration.
Open Discussion: Exclusive Sneaker Releases
Yesterday, I was conversing with one of my friends about my next sneaker purchase, Lebron Elite 9 South Beach, and we started discussing how all of the hype surrounding these exclusive sneaker releases has increased.
If you follow twitter and different blog sites, you can normally tell when a new sneaker is about to be released. Your twitter timelines are flooded with sneaker brands and sneaker names are trending topics worldwide.
Loads of people camp outside of their local shoe stores with hopes of getting their hands on the latest sneakers or retro sneakers. Some have been faithful sneaker buyers since they were teens. However, with the help of social networks and blogs you find that more and more people are becoming self-proclaimed “sneakerheads.”
Nowadays, public information for these releases is published so far in advance that it gives companies a chance to build up the excitement over an extended period. Even those with an “entrepreneurial spirit” have taken advantage of this sneaker phenomenon by creating their own businesses and charging double or triple the retail price to make a profit off their shoe investments.
So tell me, do you believe the hype? Let me know what you think.
