Finishing off our fun week for ReadySetDC was The Shops, where various local designers and consignment shops displayed all their glamorous goodies. Located at The Dunes, the ambiance was a perfect reflection of an art studio, from the portraits on the wall to the hardwood floors and floor-to-ceiling windows. Not to mention the room overlooking 14th street's busy traffic.

Old Town, Va consignment shop Pretty People definitely had an awesome spread showcasing unique jewelry and racks of modern thrifted finds. Annie Lee, formally of Annie Creamcheese vintage boutique, owns the shop, which houses a "selection of unique vintage women’s clothing and accessories with a selection of new and consigned contemporary pieces." Ladies, you must check out this spot...you'll fall in love! I bought a funky gold spiked necklace for $15!!

Artaya, the DC-based apparel and accessories line from owner and designer Dana Ayanna Greaves, showcased it's line of pretty baubles and trinkets made for the 'Bohemian Boss," women who Greaves says are  are fearless, accomplished, and culturally curious."

Jennifer Elizabeth Miller (modeling the blue houndstooth scarf), owner of JEM Scarves, was very enthusiastic about her collection of cozy, printed multi purpose scarves. (I'm modeling one if the photos) Made of warm cotton and hand-picked fabrics, her designs are a great addition to your accessories collection. The scarves can we born a number of ways...tied around the neck, as a belt, and even hooded. Great  for this chilly weather! You can find Jennifer's collection at ec0-friendly retailer, Carbon boutique!

We had an awesome weekend at the ReadySetDC fashion events. There are more to come!!!
