WHERE I'M FROM: JAY Z BARCLAYS CENTER DOCUMENTARY

Shortly after Jay Z's 43rd birthday, "Life+Times" released a short 24 minute documentary taking us behind the scenes of his sold out eight-concert run at Barclays Center last October. Get an intimate look at Jay highlighting the Barclays construction, footage of his rehearsals and performances, and interviews with Jay's crew. Plus a humble Jay riding the subway to his last show.. where he sits next to an elder woman who didn't recognize who Jay Z was. Check out the in-depth documentary below.

    

The achievements Jay Z has made throughout his career are beyond astonishing. I mean really, Sean Corey Carter is just a guy who came from the Marcy Projects in Brooklyn, NY, to being part owner of a NBA basketball team, and one of hip-hops greatest legends. Not to mention, husband to Beyonce [sorry had to put that in there hehe]. Being proud of Jay Z is an understatement, he is definitely one of the best that eva did it!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY COOKIE!

It's one of my favorite people's birthday and I had to do my own special thing for her since I missed her surprise birthday party because I'm here in Kenya. Well Doreen -aka- Cookie, this one is for you!    My Cookie holds a special place in my heart, why? well.... She is smart, beautiful, super funny, extremely fashionable, fearless, witty, BOLD, and girl's girl. Cookie and I had such a great Summer together before I left for Kenya and I'm so glad we became such great friends. I always know that I'll have an awesome time when hanging out with her. One thing I love about Cookie is that she's not afraid to speak her mind..she can talk you down through any argument [I miss her Twitter rants hehehe] but also lend an ear and give you some great advice. So, I've had several different pieces of ankara fabric for sometime now... remember I got some during my last trip back home to Nairobi, Kenya. Video: Beyonce Talks Smack Playing Pool

She talks like this, cuz she can back it up! Beyonce really does live up to her name as King Bey--not only does she talk shit when she plays pool, she can back it up and WIN! I'm not sure when this video came out or when it's from, but Beyonce is too cute talking smack and showing us that she really is a down to earth girl. I'd love to meet this chic and just kick it with her to see her real personality...I'm sure she is quirky...but so what! We all have our own quirks that make us unique in our own ways!
