Your Thoughts: Balenciaga Glow In the Dark Sneakers

Well, well....Innovative fashion is seriously NEVER going to die!! I LOVE IT! Sorry I got carried away. So I was hearing about some glow in the dark shoes but never knew the designer. I Googled them, and what do I find: Balenciaga is the mastermind behind them. I mean, if this ain't creativity, I don't know what is! Beyond the creativity, the shoes are a little disgusting color off first glance...but I could still see them on some swagged out celebrity looking fresh to death! Such as Swizz Beats-- of course--Chris Brown, Kanye West and even some of our sexy opposites like Justin Timberlake and Adam Levine from Maroon 5!

Not a big fan of the shoes themselves, but gotta admit, though, the genius whose idea this was made a big come up I'm sure lol. Not sure how much they costor where to buy since they're a few seasons old, but interesting nonetheless.

Fun Find: The Wooden Wallet for Men

I was browsing the net today and came across this cool find...a wooden wallet made by Haydanhuya handmade wooden products. I think the idea is great! It's unique, small, and is the perfect fit for a man's pocket. This would be a great gift for any man who's interested in the next best thing or always on top of trends. The wallet is crafted from maple wood, and features a metal clasp on top to secure the inside contents. The best thing about the wallet is that it's strong and durable, meaning it won't break when it's in your back pocket. Ideal for business, credit, and ID cards...stick a few folded bills in, too!

Try an army inspired webbed belt is a nice change from your usual leather belt, transfer your winter knit skinny ties over to spring with its twin in silk or switch things up a bit with a frayed pocket square or a colorful tie bar.

Homecoming Fashion Guide

So it’s October, which means its HBCU homecoming season.  This is a time where students and alumni of Historically Black colleges and universities go back to their respective schools to reunite with friends, fellowship and have a good time. Here are a few tips on how to look chic, comfortable and cool while at homecoming.

Ladies:

 Homecomings are typically in October so you’re never really sure of how the weather will be. My suggestion would be a nice tailored blazer. You can create a nice polished look and still make sure that you are warm enough.  And if the weather is warm, a blazer can be easily taken off. Try pairing it with skinny jeans and a nice colorful scarf.

When it comes to shoes during homecoming, comfort is key. Going to events like football games, day parties, and walking around the yard can be tiring. Try a nice pair of boots or booties. High heel or flat boots are acceptable.  Also wedges are very trendy this season. Try a bright colored wedge and let them be the focus of your ensemble.

Gents:

During the day, homecomings are pretty relaxed for guys. Jeans, chinos, cords or other casual pants are a great choice. Try wearing a casual button down shirt. Chambray and gingham plaid are two of my favorites on men. If it’s a little chilly, throw on a nice jacket or a cardigan. 

Ok, now to the shoes. For most guys, this is the most important part. This is the time to bring out your sneakers so pretty much anything goes. Just make sure you look fly.  Boots are also acceptable.

MYLM Man: Christian Louboutin Alfie Sneaker

Hey GUYS!

This post is just for you! So  I know we have been saying that we are going to include you guys in our posts and it hasn't quite happened yet (LOL), but I ran across these new Christian Louboutin Alfie Sneakers and I think they are kinda dope! Made of velvet and patent leather and a buckle on the back etched with CL's signature, with the signature Red Bottom.

For the Fall, I think men should sport them with jeans, scarf, and a jacket. According to Christian Louboutin website, they are on a wait list..(I'm guessing because they are so popular.)  But they are expected to come back out Sept 16, so check back often. Ladies, if you have $1,000 laying around and you want to get your man some kicks...these are cute!

I like the black ones better than the gold ones tho...
